The first peripheral Shockwave M5+ IVL case was performed at the Department of Radiology, University of Szeged. The patient presented with a significant popliteal artery stenosis, which was successfully treated using the M5+ intravascular lithotripsy catheter.
The procedure was carried out by Dr. András NAGY, marking an important step in the integration of IVL technology into their treatment approach for calcified peripheral lesions. Shockwave’s controlled and vessel-friendly calcium modification offers a promising option in cases where traditional techniques may pose limitations.
Great case, great news, congratulations for the whole Team!
