Successful LAAC with Watchman FLX Device in High-Risk Patient

86-year-old female patient with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, a CHAD-VASC score of 7, and a HAS-BLED score of 4, presented with a high bleeding risk and a history of stroke. Given these factors, Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) was performed using the BostonScientific Watchman FLX device as an alternative to long-term anticoagulation therapy.

The Watchman device provided an effective alternative to anticoagulation, reducing stroke risk while minimizing bleeding complications. A sincere thank you to Prof. Dr. Gábor Duray and his Team at Military Hospital for their exceptional work!
